About Bandipur National Park

Bandipur National Park is one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Karnataka, located in Chamarajanagara district. It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is known for its rich wildlife, forests, and eco-tourism.

Bandipur was once the private hunting reserve of the Mysore Maharajas and later became a national park in 1974 under Project Tiger.
